Dealer Has Two Aces In Blackjack

Posted onby admin
  • There is one exception: If the player splits two Aces, he receives only one more card and in such a case a score of 21 is not considered as Blackjack.
  • 9, 10 or an Ace as the Dealer’s Upcard. Some gambling authors, who shall remain unnamed, suggest that blackjack players should not split paired aces in some cases. To be more specific, said authors recommend against splitting this pair when the dealer has high upcards 9, 10, or ace. Player is dealt a pair of Aces. Dealer’s Up card is a 10.

Game Objective:

Blackjack allows you to play up to three hands of Blackjack at once, one after the other. The objective is to accumulate cards to get a total of 21 or as close to 21 as possible, without going over 21. The value of a hand is the sum of the point counts of all the cards in the hand

If the dealer has a 10 showing and they have an ace as their hole card, you will push. If the dealer has an ace showing, you can buy insurance which means you put up half your bet and get paid 1:1 if they have a blackjack. Blackjack is different from 21. As mentioned above, blackjack or “natural” is an ace and a 10. The game starts with everyone receiving two cards. The dealer goes around the table, and each player can choose to place side bets and be dealt more cards. The dealer goes last and, depending on the blackjack variation, tries to hit 21 without going bust. If the dealer goes over 21, the remaining players in the game win.

How to Play:

Blackjack ace rules
  • This game can be played with up to three hands. In order to play, you must place a bet on at least one of your hands. Every hand may have a different bet amount.
  • To place a bet, click on a chip in the bottom left side of the screen to select your chip value. Click on one of the available betting areas (the 3 larger circles) to place the bet. Every click increases your bets by the value of the selected chip.
  • Tap “Clear bet(s)” If you want to clear all of the bets placed
  • Clicking DOUBLE doubles every bet you have placed on the table.
  • First select the amount you wish to bet. Once you have placed all bets correctly, tap “DEAL” button.
  • The min bet per hand is 1 USD and max bet per hand is 500 USD.The limits apply to the initial bet only. Actions that require an additional bet (Split, Insurance, and Double) can still be used even if you placed a bet equal to the maximum bet.
  • If you are playing more than one hand, actions are taken for each hand separately, starting from the rightmost hand, once the cards have been dealt.
  • According to your bets, the cards will be dealt in each circle where you have placed a bet. The dealer also receives two cards. The dealer’s first card is then uncovered. If the card is an ace, you will automatically be offered “insurance” to protect yourself against blackjack by the dealer.
  • If the dealer has a 10, Jack, Queen, King, or Ace as his first card, he will check to see if he has a blackjack before you draw your third card.
  • The “Insurance” option is offered to you in case the dealer has an Ace as his first card.
  • If your first two cards have the same value, you can split your hand by clicking SPLIT.
  • Depending on the strength of your card, you can choose from the following options offered to you: “Hit”,” Stand”,” Double”,” Split”, or “Surrender”.
  • Please note that Insurance, Double and Split require an additional bet. If your balance does not have enough money to cover these expenses, you will need to deposit more money to use these options.
  • SOFT 17: Dealer hand that contains an ace counted as an 11 is a soft hand. For example, An ace-6 hand is a soft 17 and so is an ace-3-3 hand. These hands are played much differently than their corresponding hard hands.
  • HARD total: A hand containing an A that can only be counted as 1 because counting it as 11 would make the hand exceed 21. For example, A-6-10 is hard 17.
  • The dealer draws a card on soft 17 and stands on hard 17 or more.
  • Once the dealer has received all his cards, the value of the dealer’s hand is compared with the ones in the circles. To start a new game with the same bets(s),tap on the “Rebet” button.
  • To start a new game with Doubled bet(s), tap on the “2 x Rebet” button.
  • If you want to play another round, place bets as described above or click REBET to place the same bets as in the previous round
  • When you have played your final hand, the dealer then reveals the Dealer’s face down card and may draw additional cards, in accordance with the rules.
  • When the dealer has stopped taking cards, each of your hands is compared to the Dealer's hand. If your hand has a higher value than the dealer's and has not exceeded 21, you win with that hand.
  • If any hand value reaches 22 or more, it is bust and automatically loses.
  • BET: The total bet amount is shown in the BET meter at the left side of the screen.
  • BALANCE: Your remaining game balance, after you have placed the desired bet, is shown in BALANCE meter i.e. the current game balance minus the total bet placed.
  • WIN: The total win amount is shown in the WIN meter at the bottom right of the screen.
  • Volume: Icon will play the game sounds. Click on icon will mute the sounds and vice-versa.

BUTTONS:

Stand: Clicking the 'STAND' button will keep your hand at its current value. You may stand at any time if you are satisfied with your hand as it is. Click 'STAND' and, when the dealer completes his or her hand, the hands will be compared.

Hit: You may continue to take cards until you either stand, go bust, or the value of a hand is 21. Click 'HIT' to be dealt the next card.

Double: After you are dealt your first two cards, you will be offered the chance to 'DOUBLE'. Once this option is selected, the bet amount is automatically doubled and you will be dealt one more card. The hand will auto-stand after the card is dealt.

Doubling down is also offered after splitting. If your account balance is not sufficient for the additional bet, the double-down option will not be offered. In case you lose the hand, you lose both the initial bet and the additional amount placed for the double-down option.

Split: If you have two cards of the same value (for example two 7s, two 10s, two face cards, etc.), you can click 'SPLIT' to split the cards into two separate hands. Once this option is selected, an additional bet equal to your original bet is automatically placed. You are only allowed to split once, even if more splitting opportunities arise. If the hand qualifies for a split but your game balance is not sufficient to cover the additional bet, the split option will not be offered.

You may draw as many cards as you wish on each split hand, with the exception of splitting on Aces and doubling down after splits. If you split 'Aces', only one card will be dealt to each Ace. If a face card or a 10 is dealt to either Ace, the hand is counted as 21, not blackjack.

Insurance: Insurance gives you a chance to protect yourself when you believe the dealer has blackjack. If the dealer’s first card(face-up-card) is an Ace, you can opt to insure your hands against the dealer’s blackjack by taping either “Yes” button or “No” button. The insurance option is shown to each individual hand. Insurance costs 50% of the bet amount in addition to your initial bet.

Surrender: You can choose to discontinue play of your hand for that round and surrender half of your bet amount when first two cards are revealed. This decision must be made before you decide to double down, split pairs, stand or hit.

Blackjack

A blackjack, or 'natural', comprises a total of 21 in your first two cards. A blackjack is therefore an Ace and any 10-point card, with the additional requirement that these be your first two cards. If you split a pair of Aces, for example, and then draw a ten-point card on one of the Aces, this will not count as blackjack, but rather a total of 21. Your blackjack beats any dealer total (including a dealer's regular 21) except a dealer's blackjack. If both you and the dealer have a blackjack, the hand is a tie or 'push', and nobody wins or loses.

Your total is greater than dealer's, but less than or equal to 21.

  • The payout format used here means that when you win, you get back your bet plus an amount that is a multiple of your bet. Example: If a bet of 2 is placed on any hand, and you win a Blackjack, then 2 (bet) + 3 (win) = 5 win amount is credited to your balance for that hand.

Blackjack odds are percentage figures which represent your probability of losing or winning a hand. They can also represent the house edge or their profit margins as well. Usually probability odds don't mean much on the short term, but they clearly average out in the long term and this is why the casinos always win over the long term.

We decided to make a few tables and charts of the most common blackjack probability odds for various scenarios and situations found while playing blackjack. The most important odds percentage represents the dealer's edge in the game. This is the long term advantage that they have which will eventually take your money away. Blackjack is actually one of the most popular games in the casino and also has some of the lowest odds of all the casino games, except casino craps of course. Generally their edge ranges from 1% to 15% depending on what variation of blackjack you are playing.

How to Beat the Casino House Odds

There is one feature that makes blackjack more desirable than any other casino game. There is actually a way to beat the house edge by increasing your odds. In fact, your probability odds in blackjack can be increase to the point where you would actually be making the profit in the long term, essentially turning the casino into a personal ATM. This practice is known as card counting and casinos don't like this because they know they will be losing money.

Before you start card counting, you should learn 'blackjack basic strategy', which is the mathematically correct way to play every move in blackjack to get the best odds. This can lower the house edge to less than 1 percent. When that percentage goes to a negative number such as -1%, then it is you who has the edge over the casino. This is when you complement basic strategy with card counting to get the highest efficiencies.

Odds vs. Dealer Up Card

The first odds chart shows what kind of advantage the player has vs. the dealer based on what his up card is showing. The first column in the chart is what card the dealer has showing after the cards have been dealt. The second column of the table shows the dealer's probability of going bust based on each card. The last column shows the advantage the player has and the probability of winning based on the basic strategy theory. As you can see, the dealer has about a 43% chance of going bust when he has a 5 showing as an up card. At the same time, the player has about 23% advantage as well. Notice that the player advantage goes negative when the 10 cards and ace start showing up. This means the player is more likely to lose.

Blackjack odds of Busting While Taking a Hit

This chart shows the probabilities of going bust after taking a hit. Busting means that your card total would go over 21 points and would be a hard total as well. The highest score you can get when being initially dealt two cards is 21 points so you can never go bust. This means if you took a hit on a hard 21, you would have a 100% probablity of going bust, which is common sense. Also, if you have 11 points or less, it is impossible to go over 21 points on the next hit and your odds of going bust would be 0 percent.

House Advantage with Multiple Number of Decks

The number of 52 card decks in a game of blackjack influences the house edge. In some cases, the odds increase in favor of the casino when more decks are used. The advantage edge can be as much as 1% towards the casino and this is a big number in terms of odds over the long term. As you can see here, a single deck of card gives the lowest edge for the casino and gives the player better odds. Multiple decks such as eight decks increases the house edge almost 18 times more than it would for the single deck!

Double Deck0.42%
Four Decks0.61%

Two Card Frequency Odds

The next odds table deals with the first two cards being dealt or the 2 card frequency odds. Every player is dealt two cards at the beginning of a round of blackjack so this chart tells you the percentage of getting different categories of hands. A natural blackjack is only 4.8%, which essentially is an ace dealt with a ten card straight off the initial deal. Normally the odds are 3 to 2 and you would win $3 for every $2 wagered. It's a small percentage but it's the most desirable hand to get. The lowest hand you can get is two points (two aces). This is part of the decision hands group where players are usually dealt soft hands and can make decisions without going bust. This group is the most common.

The other category is the hard standing hands. These hands are somewhat desirable because of the high scores likely to beat the dealer. These are the second most frequent two card blackjack hands. Finally there is a no bust two card hand. No bust means any two card hand that won't bust on the next hit, such as any soft hand or hard hand that is 11 points or less.

Probability Edge for Each Card Removed from Deck

The next table shows how much your odds improve after when certain cards have been dealt and removed from the deck. Certain cards taken out of the deck and increase or decrease your blackjack odds percentage and the house edge.

This is very important for card counting. If you want the absolute perfect odds in card counting, you have to acount for each small change in the odds whenever a card is dealt. As you can see from the table, when small cards are taken out of play, the odds increase in your favor overall. This is a paramount property of card counting. The opposite happens when large cards are dealt. Your odds begin to decrease. When you are counting cards, you will notice your count decreasing when large cards are dealt.

You can imagine how complicated it would be to be adding these numbers in your head while card counting at the same time. If your mind was a computer, it would be easier to keep track of the percentage. Some people can do this, and this is the way to become a perfect card counter! It is easier to keep track of the odds when playing with a single blackjack deck. For example, when five cards are seen on the table, they offer a 0.67% increase in your advantage. In fact, when a lot of fives are used up, your odds will be much higher than if any of the other low cards were used up, even the six point cards. Also, these effects are cumulative so you always need to keep track of the odds after every card is dealt. This data is actually quite amazing!

Dealer Final Hand Probability Odds

This next table shows the odds of what the dealer's final hand will be. Usually in blackjack, the dealer must hit on 16 and stand on 17. These rules are slightly different for other variations of twenty-one. So generally, the odds of the dealer's final score being 16 are 0% because he must hit. This table will show the probability of the dealer busting or getting a non-bust hand as well as natural blackjacks.
